On February 3, 2000, while undergoing emergency heart bypass surgery, our dear friend and teacher Russell Kelfer was lovingly ushered by the Lord into eternity. Although  Russell’s sudden homegoing shocked and saddened us all, we nevertheless rejoice to know that Russell is at this very moment free of pain and more alive than ever before. |

What happens after Russell’s homegoing?

The answer is resoundingly clear. By God’s grace, the Word will continue to go forth. Drawing upon a vast archive of over 700 lessons on virtually every aspect of Christian living, audio formats, transcripts and books will continue to be distributed. Radio broadcast will continue to air. The international ministry, especially close to Russell’s heart, will continue to reach into new languages and lands.

On the Tuesday night following Russell’s homegoing, a large crowd of family, friends, and those who had been touched by the ministry gathered for a Celebration Service of praise and thanks-giving for what “great things He hath done.” Included in the testimonials reflecting the many facets of Russell’s life and ministry are explanations of how Discipleship Tapes began, which may be of interest to you.
